India Birds - 2 - Far-East India (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Megahalaya, Nagaland)

These pictures were taken during three private birding tours to the far-eastern part of India that lies between Myanmar and Bangladesh to the south and Bhutan and China to the north. Our guide was Jack Poll, together with local guides. The trips were arranged by Vinod Goswami of Babita Tours (babitagoswami@gmail.com). We have many special needs; Vinod handles them wonderfully well; this is especially important in remote parts of the country where tourist infrastructure is rudimentary. The continued success of our trips - and our consistent enjoyment of them - is due to Jack, to Vinod, and to Vinod's extremely helpful staff.

I have not constructed specialized web sites for far eastern and central India. These bird trips are covered by travelogs with links below. Each eastern India trip also has a component in central India to see tiger and to get more birds. They are covered in their respective travelogs. Photographs are copyrighted and should not be reproduced without permission.
