The final conversion from numerical to letter grade was as follows:
A = | 82 % or more (37 students) |
B = | 70 - 81 % (56 students) |
C = | 60 - 69 % (30 students) |
D = | 44 - 59 % (17 students) |
CR = | 44 - 100 % (10 students) |
F = | less than 44 % (7 students; it looks like most intended to drop the course) |
As a class, you did very well. There are far more As and Bs than the University expects when it says that B means "above average". In fact, the average grade in the course is B, not C. You should be proud of your work. I am, and I wish you all well in the future.
