Spring 2007 Syllabus

The final conversion from numerical to letter grade was as follows.

 A = 83.00 - 100.0 % (65 students)
 B = 73.00 - 82.99 % (73 students)
 C = 59.50 - 72.99 % (46 students)
 D = 45.00 - 59.49 % (14 students)
 CR = 45.00 - 100.0 % ( 7 students)
 F = less than 45 % ( 7 students)

I enjoyed teaching you more than any other class that I have taught, either here or in Hawaii. You did very well; only one class that I have had did marginally (and only marginally) better. There are far more As and Bs than the University expects when it says that B means "above average". The highest final grade was 94.1 %, and 11 people got more than 90 %. Maybe the most important thing that you can learn from this course is the importance of enthusiasm and hard work. You were enthusiastic and you worked hard -- that's why teaching this class was fun. You should be proud of your results. I am proud of you, and I wish you well in everything that you do.

Final grades were submitted at 7:30 PM on Friday, May 4, 2007.
