ASTRONOMY 301 Introduction to Astronomy Spring 2001

Final update: May 10, 2001

Classes: TTh 2 PM 3:30 PM

The final conversion from numerical to letter grade was as follows:
A =  82 % or more (37 students)
B =  70  81 % (56 students)
C =  60  69 % (30 students)
D =  44  59 % (17 students)
CR =  44  100 % (10 students)
F = less than 44 % (7 students; it looks like most intended to drop the course)
As a class, you did very well. There are far more As and Bs than the University expects when it says that B means "above average". In fact, the average grade in the course is B, not C. You should be proud of your work. I am, and I wish you all well in the future.
